Katie Ferrell Woods

Survivor | Writer | Speaker

Katie Ferrell Woods is a writer and speaker who brings language to the quiet, often unspoken places of the human experience.

With a background shaped by adversity and a voice forged through resilience, she now speaks and writes to help others reclaim their own voice and story. Her work centers on themes of identity, embodiment, faith, healing, and the process of becoming — not as a polished destination, but as an ongoing, courageous practice.

Katie is known for her ability to hold a room with both gentleness and power. Whether through a keynote address, a reflective essay, or a quiet moment shared with another, she invites people into clarity, courage, and emotional truth.

Her story of survival and reclamation — including a decade-long journey through domestic violence and recovery — is never presented as spectacle, but as testimony: evidence that healing is possible, and that every life holds the capacity to begin again.

She is most often booked by women’s conferences, virtual events, and organizations seeking speakers who can speak with vulnerability, faith, and insight. Her audiences describe her presence as inviting, her words as ‘just right’, and her message as both sobering and filled with hope.

Meet Katie

Katie is a trauma survivor, writer, and speaker known for the way she makes others feel: inspired, seen, and empowered.

With a background shaped by personal adversity and deep emotional study, Katie brings lived wisdom into every space she enters — whether it’s a stage, a page, or a quiet corner of the internet.

Her work explores themes like trauma recovery, identity, mental health, faith, and what it means to come home to yourself. She doesn’t pretend to have it all figured out and uses that humility to graciously hold a room — to speak life into what others have been carrying in silence.

Katie is a proud homebody who is happiest enjoying a peaceful evening, pen and paper in hand, cat on her lap, husband to her side.

She’s here to share cups of coffee and make space — not just for her story, but for yours and others, too.
